Prepare to send Ecards!

Posted: 24 Jan 2008 - 00:05:13

Het is zover, ons eerste officiële account en we zijn er trots op. Het Revented account van de heren Ernesto vs Bastian, de makers van het Trance Energy Anthem voor 2008.

Heren producers/DJ's gefeliciteerd! Show them what we do best in this tiny cool country called the Netherlands!

Puntjes op de I

Een Revented-account die we al enkele tijd aan het voorbereiden zijn staat op het punt om gelanceerd te worden. We laten er nog even niks over los, maar zo gauw deze online is doen we er bericht van.

Prepare to.. send Ecards.

Nieuwe webhosting

Posted: 20 Dec 2007 - 20:27:20

Hotmail causes problems and they know it

Posted: 07 Nov 2007 - 21:25:45

After some testing, a lot of emails seem to arrive just fine, except for hotmail accounts. I'd thought i do some searching on it and it turns out that Hotmail is simply a pain in the ass to a lot of people.
Let me share some links with you all:

  1. Blether.com on hotmail problems
  2. Xent.con on hotmail problems
  3. Issociate on hotmail problems
  4. Transparantcorp on hotmail problems

The list goes on and on. Read the last link if you are a hotmail-user. Delays that might take up days?

Well, right now i need to find out how i can work around it, for you people, you might do some thinking about your account with hotmail. Do you really get all the mail you should get?

Mail problems fixed!

That is.. we are receiving emails again on accounts that were'nt receiving email. It was almost a typical case of Murphy's law.
We still have to test some adresses/providers, but it is starting to look good again. Yay!

A special thanks to Christian from Server4You for thinking along, keeping me informed and helping out.

Hosting/mail problems

Posted: 06 Nov 2007 - 00:08:35

After all offline testing, I brought all the files online and started testing the system. Everything seemed fine sending to my own emailaccount (thinking back, maybe because i signed up the hosting with the same email), however.. when other people tried the system, emails simply did not arrive! I was like 'Huh, what?'
So i wrote a little mail-script that mailed four different accounts (A Provider, a TLD, gmail, hotmail;  TLD=Top Level Domainname). Only the TLD and gmail one arrived. Hm..
I uploaded the mail-script to another hostingserver i have and.. it worked like a charm.

Right now i am almost certain that my current host for this system 'Server4You' is causing me these problems, and in the process is delaying my beta as well! So, right now i am far from being amused. Especially after all the work i have done so far. I don't need stupid setbacks like these.

Well, I have emailed them and i am waiting for an explanation. I hope to receive one very soon. They either fix it or i will cancel the account. These kind of errors and delays can't be happening in 2007. ANyways, i hope they fix it somehow and we can put it all behind and run this system. We will run this system somehow.

So for now, wish me luck. I could use some.

Preparing a pretty special Beta

Although we are still negotiating, we might have a nice first betatesting client. For now. we can not release a name but, this might be a pretty cool first beta-client.

Into the DEV some more

Just some minor fixes. This blogpost is simply a log

  • Fixed 'card from' in pickup-page
  • Added error-notice above the fold as well
  • Fixed url in mail-message for pickup

Preparing for Beta

Posted: 26 Oct 2007 - 15:45:13

It is that exciting and, also a somewhat scary moment, putting your new product into the testing fase, starting the bughunting and hoping that everything will work as planned. It's almost that time

Preparing the system

Posted: 25 Oct 2007 - 21:10:10

We have started to move up the development a notch and make the product ready for going into Beta-testing. There is still a lot of work to do, a lot of bugs to hunt down (some things never change) When all development and testing on a local machine prooves good (enough), we will be moving it all to the 'online' realm.

After this we will prepare everything to start the beta-testing.

Exciting times ahead!
